I work with small to medium sized businesses to help them separate and keep separate, their personal credit from their business credit. I do this by helping them build a robust credit profile on their EIN number which is attached to their LLC or S-Corp. That way if they ever need money for their business, they never put their personal finances at risk by using their personal credit or finances to fund their business.
